Menus: Or, How to Show off Your Cookin' (or Takeout Orderin') Skills

By this point you have your guest list assembled, invites sent out and maybe an idea of a theme. Now you're thinking, "what will my friends and I talk over? Coffee? Tea? Macaroons?" (probably not for brunch). Good thing for you, there are plenty of great recipe sites for all skill levels. (Check out the Resources page for great recipe sites.) It's always a great idea to make a recipe a couple times before serving it to friends. Since I've given myself a lot of time to make the recipes I've researched, I now feel comfortable serving them to others.

#ProTip: Be sure to include in your invite a note to contact you about any food allergies they may have! If you haven't, sending an update via your e-vite/event site page (or a quick call) can work, too. Brunch is better when nobody has to break out the epipen, or go without eating. But if it happens, no worries! Good conversation and a positive outlook can hide a multitude of culinary sins.
